What is the Advanced Joint Fires Observer Trainer (A-JFOT)?
The Advanced Joint Fires Observer Trainer (A-JFOT) is a simulation-based training system designed to train Artillery Forward Observers (AFOs) and Artillery Officers in coordinating and executing fire missions. It provides a scalable and immersive environment where multiple trainees can participate in realistic, collective training activities. The system uses AVS Virtual Binoculars for visualization, enabling trainees to conduct accurate call-for-fire missions, either by sight or with an integrated laser range finder.
